.....What does an ex-coach do in a Maternity home? That's what we all asked at first. As time has gone on, we can all see Coach has a valuable role among us here. Meet Breanna. She is 2 yr. old and she and her mother Alex came through Fatherheart 2 yrs. ago. Alex has done well as a single parent, but not without challenges. Recently, we prayed and talked to the director of Living Alternatives. We felt the Lord was asking us to work with Alex and even bring her into Fatherheart to live. Well, they have been here 3 weeks. Breanna has really taken to Coach. She is just beginning to say phrases. As Coach was walking through the room one day, she pointed and said "Pappa". We all laughed, but she continued. Yesterday, Coach was studying with one of our girls. Breanna woke from a nap and walked up to Coach and crawled onto his chest. Resting her little head down she laid there content while he called out World History questions. Never being around a man, this is a great experience for her. The marvel of this is the history behind her mom and the life style they were raised in. What a blessing to see a man in a Godly role as a father and to see an innocent child embracing fatherhood with such trust and love. Coach's other grandchildren call him PoePoe, so Breanna has her own name- Pappa. C&N
