MEET JACOB

Working at Fatherheart we have learned there are many facets to this ministry besides the pregnant girls! Jacob is one of those facets. His mother recently placed her daughter for adoption through the "Loving Alternatives" adoption agency here in Tyler, Texas. Jacob is waiting with his mom, to enter into a new program that will help them get on their feet again and make the future more secure for them. Jacob was born here at Fatherheart too. His mom's story is one of foster care, abandonment, and no family as a child. As she strives to make the best choices, she has often found herself drawn into another relationship that was full of promises, yet empty again. She is learning the principles of God and being discipled by many in this community here. Scars and bruises are often deep in our girls. Jacob loves Coach. When it is chore time, he grabs the broom and begins sweeping with Coach at night. Last PM, he helped us play BINGO and rolled the cage full of numbers for us. Jacob will be moving down the road in the morning to his new beginning with his mom. We will miss him, but hopefully he will pop in from time to time and help sweep. :)
