NATHAN, JESSICA, DAVID- an unforgettable story @ Christmas Christmas morning was filled with friends and family we are not normally with. We had been with our children or had received calls earlier in the weeks before Christmas. We moved our small birthday celebration for Jesus from the trailer to Fatherheart for more space. My sister joined us with her friend, David was home from Masters Commission, and Jessica who was our very first foster child years ago (13 yr. ago). Jessica had asked if Nathan from Popua New Guinea could come. We quickly agreed and what a blessing he was. After games and lots of food, we drifted into the great room at Fatherheart and snuggled to the fire while Nathan played worship music on his guitar. He shared stories of his childhood, coming to America for a YWAM school, and the biggest miracle of his life. He unfolded the powerful story of his father , who was a pastor in Popua New Guinea and is now deceased. Before Nathan (26 yr. old) was born, his father was a drunkard. He fell on day from a tower about 70 ft. high and landed on a fence and playground equipment. He was pronounced dead and put in the morgue. The funeral was held at their home where about 1,000 people attended. The company had settled financially with Nathan's mother. The next day, Nathan's dad found himself awake in the morgue asking the keeper to open the door and let him out. As the man did, Nathan's father told him , "I want Jesus". The man could NOT believe his eyes because he had put him in the room very dead only 24 hours earlier. Apparently, the Lord had allowed Nathan's father to come close for a few instructions regarding his life now and future plans with starting churches!!!!! Nathan's father became a Christian, so did the morgue keeper, and planted several churches in Popua New Guinea. Nathan was born a few years later. He reflected how his father took the entire family each anniversary to the accident site and they remembered the miracle of life again. None of us there had anything to match that. We all sat in quietness and said "awesome". What a Christmas story. Friends from around the world just sharing Christmas. It's great to have Jesus as the common denominator among us all. We will certainly never forget that Christmas story! Merry Christmas from Conley and Nancy
