FATHERHEART ADOPTION PICNIC Fatherheart has an annual picnic for all the adoptive parents who have been chosen by the birth mothers here at the maternity home. These are special parents and a lot of time was spent looking for just the right family for the new bundle. Each year, the parents celebrate the adoptions by getting together for a picnic and a lecture to help better equip them to be parents. This year was the testimony of 2 adoptive parents from Fatherheart about how they walked through the moment the child was reunited with the birth parent. It was a powerful time of testimony and instructions of what to expect. The children had games, crafts, and lots of good food. There was about 100 people total. The Big House was swinging that Saturday afternoon. This is the closest Biblical way to place a child we have ever seen. You can see by the looks on the faces, these birth mothers chose the right families. They chose to give their child LIFE and a 2 parent home. The sacrifice was great for these moms, but the fruit is sweet. Between the rain drops and laughter, we were sure, we saw God smiling on Fatherheart that day. C&N
