FLOOD GATES ARE OPEN, HERE THEY COME...... We have received almost 7 applications for entry into the maternity home in one week. We are running, organizing, and preparing for this great event of ADDITION to Fatherheart. Our rooms are named Biblical names and the linen closet matches the names, trying to organize the sheets and linens for each room. Of course, the # of sheets is more than usual...... 16 bed get 3 sets per bed= 48 sets plus there is one set of whites for each bed. Our system is one week colored sheets and one week white sheets. The girls love throwing the sheets down the linen shoot that brings them all to the central location in the laundry room for the assigned person to do linens. Some of our girls are young, some older. Today, one prospective 13 year old is at the abortion clinic because her father refused her placement here at Fatherheart. He chose abortion for his young daughter. Our hearts are saddened by this news. We interviewed one old girl and she will come Monday. She is in a shelter situation to protect her from the abusive relationship which she has been in. We are challenged here to minister to her and help heal the hurts of her past history, bring her into a revelation of the the love God has for her, and see her through a safe delivery. She will be assigned into the room named Esther. It is bright , colorful, and has 2 nets of beautiful color hanging over the beds. There is a secret stairway in this room that opens up through the bookshelf. We have placed her room between 2 staff members that will help her during night time challenges and emotional struggles. Pray for her as she is high risk, but, hey the disciples fished in the deep and wow, He filled the boat for them. Conley and Nancy
