Queens at the Rose Garden Museum of Tyler, Texas- Rose capital of Texas
On our outing Saturday afternoon, we visited the Tyler Rose Museum and the gowns and crowns worn by the queens of the parades each year. The colors were dazzling, the jeweled crowns breath taking. We walked from peacock feathered dresses, to crowns and scepters that surely came from the Queen of England! The girls ewes and awed and occasionally lost themselves in the fantasy of it all and posed with some of the manikins! It was our outing for Saturday and such a time to feel the royalty of a queen and her courts. The roses were almost all gone, but we had great photos on the bridge after we threw in a penny and made our wish. As you can imagine, on this outing, Conley sat outside and read the paper! See if we go to a football game with him next time:) C&N
