CAMP FIRE @ THE TRAILER
During our orientation to our new work here with YWAM, we had an opportunity to share a cold night with some of the girls from Father Heart, our maternity home here where we are the new house parents. Sam, Lauren, and Christy eagerly volunteered to come to our cozy trailer for our outdoor fire and wieners. We enjoyed the night with "funky flames" as the girls threw the colors into the fire and watched the flames turn colors of the rainbow. We grabbed the Bar-B-Q forks and roasted a package of wieners and had homemade chili over the dogs! It was our first outing with the girls, but a great one. These are NOT county girls, but they sat it out even when the noises from our woods seemed to get too close for them. Building relationships is very important for us and this was a great opportunity they shared with us. Sam has returned home to give birth there and our other girls remain. Christy has just placed her daughter in a Christian home she picked and Lauren is our Lady in waiting still. This was how we spent our Saturday night and it felt right to share the cozy environment we have with the girls who are away from their homes. We had just decorated for Christmas, so they really enjoyed the night. Pray for us as we begin this work with girls, babies, birth fathers, and many unknowns! Conley and Nancy
